Choose a Camper to Suit You
At Cruisin, we know everyone is different which is why we have a range of campers to suit all travel styles and personal needs. Often when it comes to making a decision about which camper to hire, a number of factors come into play and these can be different for each traveller. Whether you're tall, claustrophobic or otherwise, Cruisin' has a motorhome to suit your needs.
If you're over 6 foot
If you've been blessed with height, then have no fear, this blessing will not stop you from hiring a camper. Cruisin' has a number of options on fleet ideal for our tall friends including the Adventurer and Discovery campervans, both with an interior height of 1.98 metres. These campers have more room to move inside for those that need that extra leg space.
If you're claustrophobic
Anyone whose knees go weak at the sight of a small space and can't stand the sight of a lift will be looked after at Cruisin'. Many of the vehicles on fleet have a spacious, light, bright and airy layout with walk through access between the drivers cabin and the main
cabin. The Sandpiper is a great option for claustrophobics with large opening windows lining the walls and a long interior. Avoid choosing a motorhome with the overhead bed too close to the ceiling.
If you love to cook
Love to cook on holiday? Then a motorhome adventure is perhaps one of the most creative ways to do so! All campervans and motorhomes come equipped with a kitchen complete with fridge, gas stove, cooking appliances, cutlery and crockery. If you're looking to optimise your bench and fridge space, hire the Cruisin' Discovery. Cruisin's largest motorhome has extended bench space, more storage cupboards, a three-burner gas stove and 110 litre fridge. Once you have cooked up a storm, simply set up your table and enjoy the family feast (you can even rug up with a blanket while you do so!)
If you're looking for a combination of comfortable and affordable
If it's just two of you travelling for the first time and looking for the great combination of comfort and affordability, the Cruisin' Adventurer is just what the doctor ordered. The smallest motorhome on the Cruisin' fleet is perfectly formed with all the comforts of the larger motorhomes including an on board bathroom, kitchen, TV, living area and permanent bed for an affordable rate. The smaller Hi-Top campervan is also great for those on a budget offering a comfortable and spacious double bed and kitchenette.
If you want the easy-to-park camper
Those searching for a camper that is easy to drive and park should rent the compact but comfortable Hi-Top campervan. This campervan is easy to move in and out of built up areas and still offers all the comforts of home including a double bed, kitchen and sink.
If you only have an automatic licence
If you have an automatic drivers licence, it is important to double-check the vehicle that you are looking at hiring. The Sandpiper, Seeker and Discovery campervans all have automatic transmission and are a dream to drive along those long coastal highways or scenic county roads. Avoid hiring the Huntsman and Hi-Top campers as these vehicles only offer manual transmission.
If you have young kids that require baby/booster seats
If you're travelling with a baby or young child then you'll need to hire either the Birdville or Discovery motorhome for the anchor points in the vehicle. During the drive, your children will be just behind the drivers seat so you can keep a close eye on them while on the road. (Photo featured of the 6 Berth Discovery).
