Hahndorf, South Australia

Nestled in the Adelaide Hills region of South Australia you will find the charming town of Hahndorf, Australia's oldest surviving German settlement. As you arrive,  admire the beautiful ancient elm trees that line the main street and the historic architecture. While you explore this town by foot you will realise that it is the perfect blend of new and old, retaining its German history and offering a modern edge with chic businesses  popping up left, right and centre. Enjoy the village-vibe of Hahndorf and don't hesitate to visit a local pub to try the traditional German fair.

Swansea, Tasmania

Located on the pristine blue waters of Tasmania's East Coast, you will stumble across the seaside town of Swansea, approximately 2 hours drive from the capital of Hobart. Here you will find Australia's largest concentration of natural mineral springs. Visit Daylesford in Autumn to encounter the beautiful deciduous trees that line the main street of the town. Coober Pedy, South Australia

A visit to the mining town of Coober Pedy may leave you wondering if you are on a different planet. Approximately 150 million years ago the town was under the ocean. An on-site Opal mine tour is simply a must while you're in Coober Pedy and offers unique insight into the bizarre underground world. Don't forget your camera for this one!
